Project highlights for the past 3 years
Enhancement Delivery and Maintenance for NCC Online Access Hub (NOAH).
Excent One has provided services for NCC in delivering enhancements and maintenance for its .NET-based NOAH. This includes Phase 4 major enhancements in 2013, various major enhancements in 2014 to 2015 including a Mobile User Profile Registration, awarded 2013-2016 Maintenance contract, Disaster Recovery planning and exercises, and several more enhancements in the pipeline for the rest of 2015 and early 2016.
Implement an Enterprise Content Management system using SharePoint to address the need for an effective intranet solution catering for their document management and collaboration needs.
In the first phase of implementation, Excent One installed SharePoint 2010 Foundation and created standard Teamsites for six pilot Sections in Senoko. We also conducted trainings to administrators and end-users. Wanting to realize the full potentials of this platform, Senoko Energy decided to fully invest in SharePoint and awarded Phase 2 to Excent One for the upgrade from 2010 Foundation to 2013 Standard and to continue the roll-out and training for the rest of the thirty plus Sections. In Phase 3, we worked on various customizations that leverage on what SharePoint 2013 offers.
On 1st April 2013, the Ministry of Social and Family Development in coordination with the Ministry of Education launched a new agency, the Early Childhood Development Agency, tasked to integrate the Government’s approach towards early childhood care and education in Singapore. The agency needed to quickly implement a publishing website for its content.
A channel partner tapped Digital Boomerang to create the Web Design and Excent One to implement the ECDA publishing website using SharePoint (http://www.ecda.gov.sg). Excent One also migrated relevant content from various sources to this new website. The tight deadline was met, supporting the Minister’s plans to announce the new agency according to MSF’s target date.
Create an application built on top of SharePoint with functionality that allows users to create new workflows without writing code, with the intent of consolidating and centralizing most of the organization’s internal processes onto one platform, thereby streamlining these processes, and reducing the turnaround for creating and executing requests.
The solution utilized SharePoint 2010, K2 Blackpearl, and InfoPath 2010. Following a set of steps now allows power users to create, test, and implement new workflows within a few hours. There are currently over 20 workflows in production, with phase 2 adding a few more.
Migrate the current Intranet site to SharePoint 2013 Online.
The first phase of the project was focused in configuring and preparing SharePoint Online for Jurong Port and in building a Corporate Landing Page in their newly subscribed SharePoint Online. The goal was to quickly deliver this Landing Page in order to establish the new portal. The next phase was for the creation of subsites for Jurong Port’s departments. The subsites were aimed to be templated so as to have a consistent interface across departments. Additional customizations were performed to departments which wanted to maximize the features of SharePoint Online.
To keep pace with the growing Church, the vibrant community and their tech-savvy church members, the NCC IT Team envisioned a more creative way to connect everyone by leveraging technology. One such implementation is through mobile devices.
Excent One has created a mobile application for NCC in order to launch their NCC Connect and Gift of Love. The applications were created on top of the mobile framework that EO built for speed, compatibility and scalability. The framework is capable of running on desktop and mobile devices. It was built on open source industry standards such as node.js, jQuery, REST, JSON and Web Sockets.
NUS Alumni intended to upgrade from Microsoft Live@Edu to Microsoft Office 365. Their existing web portal which facilitates user signup, password reset, and email login required upgrading as well. Excent One provided the services to create the new web portal for NUS Alumni.
Excent One performed the Design, Build and Implementation of the new web portal which provides seamless login experience with NUS AD and Office 365, new Sign up web pages, user self-service password reset and change password pages, and Administrative portal for NUS alumni administrators. NUS OAR also awarded Maintenance and additional Enhancement work to Excent One last April 2014.
Kris Energy has been struggling with managing content across 5 offices in 5 countries. Their on-premise SharePoint was too slow to access outside Singapore. They needed to move to a new SharePoint Online environment and sought help to migrate their files and content.
Excent One worked with Kris Energy to analyze their existing on-premise SharePoint Foundation 2010 to understand what exactly needs to be migrated. After our assessment, we proposed using a 3rd Party Tool, particularly because of the requirement for a like-for-like migration and in retaining metadata once moved to SharePoint Online. Excent One improved their security governance and migrated approximately 50GB of data in less than 10 days, with zero downtime. EO also worked on additional requirements for Approval Workflow, DocuSign, and Migration from fileshare to SharePoint.
Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS) has already subscribed to Office 365 and has a SharePoint Online site up and running but not used. EO was tapped to create a new Intranet website for them.
Excent One designed and implemented branding and customization to WRS’ existing Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint Online.
Channel 37 is the Intranet portal of Jurong Port built by Excent One on top of SharePoint Online. A staff survey was conducted and the general feedback was to improve the user experience of the intranet, collaboration and enterprise knowledge management.
Jurong Port awarded the design portion of the project to Digital Boomerang. Excent One implemented branding and customization on the SharePoint Online Intranet to address requirements on knowledge management, application portal, forum, among others. EO ensured that Responsive Design was properly implemented in SharePoint enabling users to have better experience in accessing the Intranet through mobile phones and tablets.
